Description
July 6, 2014 was the beginning of the sequence of events to launch the new voyaging canoe, Mo‘okiha O Pi‘ilani. It was built at Kamehameha Iki Park and had to be moved down Front Street in Lahaina to Mala Ramp at the north end of town to be launched. It was a slow process accomplished late at night when the street could be closed.
